“The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” by SIMON STEPHENS

Kamloops Players is thrilled to announce "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" by renowned playwright Simon Stephens, as their 4th annual "Fall into Drama" production. This play will perform November 5th to 9th, 2025 at the Pavilion Theatre.

Recently adapted from the novel by Mark Haddon, "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" narrates a puzzling tale involving a garden fork, the neighbour’s dog, and a young boy navigating life. Follow Christopher John Francis Boone as he investigates the death of his neighbour’s dog in a twisting mystery and unveils the secrets around his entire family.

Grab your magnifying glass and notebook and watch as clues are revealed, answers gained, and drama unfolds in a night of secrecy, family relations, and theatrical spectacle.

CALLING ALL THEATRE DIRECTORS AND PRODUCERS! SUBMISSIONS OPEN FOR KAMLOOPS PLAYERS “SPRING INTO COMEDY” PRODUCTION!

Kamloops Players Society (KPS) is putting out the annual call for Directors and Producers interested in proposing a comedic play for our 5th Annual Spring into Comedy to be performed in spring 2026.

Your Proposal must include:

  1. A completed Proposal Form 

  2. A budget for the production

  3. The proponents must follow the KPS Production Manual

  4. A copy of the play for review

KPS is rebuilding our Post Pandemic reputation and identity with the community. We want to put on two quality productions per year, a comedy in the spring and a drama in the fall; therefore we are looking for mainstream plays that will be marketable to our patrons.
